Project Summary

No Cold Feet sold specialty socks online but had almost no organic traffic — nobody was finding them through Google. DAP ran a full SEO overhaul: keyword research, 7 long-form landing pages, a guest posting program that built 100+ backlinks, and a Shopify redesign. Within seven months, organic traffic was up 500%, keywords ranking in Google nearly quadrupled, and the brand went from invisible to showing up alongside competitors like Happy Socks and Soxy.

SEO Keyword Universe & Content Strategy

We started by mapping out the full keyword universe — every search term No Cold Feet had a shot at ranking for. We sorted them by search volume, purchase intent, and how hard they’d be to win, then built a content plan targeting the biggest opportunities first.

  • Defined keyword universes for occasion-based socks (Christmas, Birthday, Valentine's Day, Graduation, Hanukkah) and general sock types (argyle, polka dot, striped, purple)
  • Created 7 landing pages (2,000-3,000 words each) covering specific product categories — the kind of pages that actually rank for commercial keywords
  • Wrote buyer's guides for each sock category with style tips, gift recommendations, and sizing advice
  • Rolled out content in two phases: Phase 1 covered occasion-based and general socks, Phase 2 expanded into broader occasion pages
  • Ran competitive analysis against Happy Socks, Soxy, and other DTC sock brands to find gaps we could exploit

Guest Posting & Link Building Campaign

We kicked off a guest posting program to get quality sites linking back to No Cold Feet. The team wrote original articles for fashion and lifestyle publications, each with backlinks pointing to the product and category pages we were trying to rank.

  • Secured 10 quality backlinks in month one, then scaled to 15+ per month from there
  • Placed guest articles on fashion and lifestyle sites, timed around holidays and gift-giving seasons as well as evergreen topics
  • Produced 12+ original guest posts per month on topics like sock styling, groomsmen gifts, and holiday gift guides
  • Mixed branded and keyword anchor text to keep link profiles looking natural
  • Focused links on the pages with the most revenue potential: argyle socks, purple socks, groomsmen socks, and occasion gift box sets

Website Redesign & Optimization

We rebuilt the Shopify store from the ground up. That meant new product page copy written for both shoppers and search engines, a cleaned-up checkout process, and Klaviyo set up for email marketing.

  • Redesigned the full Shopify store mobile-first with cleaner navigation across all collection pages
  • Rewrote product copy for every collection (blue, pink, purple, red, green, argyle, polka dot, striped) with SEO baked in
  • Stripped unnecessary fields from checkout, fixed payment integration issues, and tightened up the purchase flow
  • Set up Klaviyo with subscriber forms and automated email sequences
