Health systems like OU Health, Mercy Clinic, and regional competitors dominated local search results. The practice was getting zero new patients from organic search.
Starting in July 2025, DAP deployed a local SEO strategy targeting neighborhoods across the Oklahoma City metro area. The key win: each of their 3 clinics sits at the intersection of multiple neighborhoods. By creating dedicated pages for each area they serve, we helped Google understand that OK Pain Treatment Centers is a local option for patients across the entire metro, not just in three zip codes.
OK Pain Treatment Centers had excellent patient outcomes and a loyal base built through referrals. But when patients searched “pain management near me” in Oklahoma City or the surrounding areas, the practice didn’t show up. Every new patient came through referrals or word of mouth. Online, they didn’t exist.
The website had dedicated pages for the communities surrounding each clinic. Google saw three locations but had no way of knowing that the Oklahoma City clinic also serves patients in Quail Creek, Remington, Midtown, and The Greens. When patients in those areas searched for pain management, Google showed competitors instead.
The site was built on Squarespace, which limited technical SEO capabilities. Pages loaded slowly on mobile, schema markup was missing, and the architecture made it difficult for Google to crawl and index the site properly. These issues impacted the practice’s own rankings.
OU Health, Mercy Clinic Pain Management, and Oklahoma Pain Physicians had dedicated marketing teams and broader brand recognition. As a three-location independent practice, OK Pain Treatment Centers needed a more innovative approach to appear when patients searched for pain relief in their area.

We analyzed OK Pain Treatment Centers’ top competitors, including OU Health, Mercy Clinic, and Oklahoma Pain Physicians. We identified the keywords for which they ranked, the gaps that existed, and the neighborhoods that presented the biggest opportunities. From there, we developed a 12-month local SEO plan designed to capture patients searching for pain relief in specific areas.
We built a 12-month content calendar based on competitor analysis and keyword opportunities. The plan included location landing pages for each target neighborhood, educational blog posts answering patient questions about pain management treatments, and internal linking strategies to connect high-traffic blog content to conversion-focused location pages.
Ranking on Google doesn’t matter if patients don’t convert. We studied how visitors behaved on the site, including which pages held their attention, which forms were abandoned, and where patients dropped off before booking. Then we made targeted improvements, such as reducing the number of form fields, enhancing clear trust signals like Dr. Blake’s credentials, and placing click-to-call buttons where patients typically look on mobile devices. The goal was to make it easy for someone in pain to take the next step.
Patients searching for pain relief often compare a small practice with major health systems. The website needs to earn trust immediately. We redesigned the homepage to feature Dr. Blake’s credentials and approach. We then built a scalable location page template that could be deployed across all nine target neighborhoods without compromising quality or consistency.
Each of OK Pain Treatment Centers’ 3 clinics sits at the intersection of multiple neighborhoods. We built 9 location pages to capture patients searching in each area: Oklahoma City, Quail Creek, Remington, The Greens, Midtown OKC, Belle Isle, Classen-Ten-Penn, Bethany, and Norman. Now, when a patient searches for “pain management in Quail Creek,” OK Pain Treatment Centers appears first.
We implemented full-funnel tracking, allowing OK Pain Treatment Centers to know exactly which patients come from SEO. Form submissions are mapped back to the page that drove the conversion. If a patient lands on the Remington page and requests a consultation, that lead is attributed to our efforts. First touch attribution credits the right source. No guessing. We addressed site issues within Squarespace’s limitations: implementing local business schema on location pages, optimizing images, reducing third-party scripts, and improving crawl efficiency. We also built internal linking between high-authority blog posts and new location pages to funnel existing traffic toward conversions.
The site already had strong educational content, driving thousands of clicks each month. Articles on topics like swimming strokes for back pain and bulging disc exercises ranked well but weren’t connected to pages where patients could book. We added strategic internal links from these high-traffic posts to new location pages, turning readers into patients.
Today, Stride has an SEO system that consistently delivers qualified families—without relying solely on people who already know their name. With consistent of both organic and PPC traffic we created a predictable pipeline of leads across all their locations. We fixed the technical problems holding them back, optimized every location for local search, and built landing pages that actually convert.
