Hospital Excel had the surgeons, the theatres and a location 250 feet from the American border. What it did not have was a way for a patient in San Diego to find it. Digital Authority Partners built the hospital an English-first digital presence and a search strategy covering every clinical department, taking United States organic traffic from five visits a month to 211 and putting the homepage at position two nationally for hospitals in tijuana.
Hospital Excel is a private hospital system in Tijuana, Baja California, running three locations plus a facility built 250 feet from the United States border. Its cross-border programme treats American patients who travel south for dental, surgical and elective care.
Hospital Excel engaged Digital Authority Partners to open the United States market for a Mexican hospital system whose patients were a short drive away and could not find it. Through an English-first website rebuild, a forty-page search strategy spanning every clinical department, thirty-two content assets and a rebuild of the credential signals Google scores on medical sites, Digital Authority Partners took the hospital from five American organic visits a month to 211 and put the homepage at position two nationally for hospitals in tijuana.
Engagement began February 2023. Search results measured January 2024 through April 2025 using Ahrefs United States domain data.
The pages meant to convert United States patients carried Spanish content, Spanish navigation and a Spanish job board in the header. Google had no clean English signal to rank against American medical travel queries, and the San Diego patient who did arrive landed on a page written for a Mexican audience.
An American weighing surgery abroad wants departments, procedures, surgeons, costs and travel logistics before picking up the phone. The site offered none of it. There was no departments section, no treatments hub, no surgeon directory, no plan your visit content and no testimonials page.
Medical content sits in the category Google scrutinises hardest, where human raters ask whether a reader should follow the advice on the page. Surgeon biographies ran near 500 words with no medical reviewer credits, no author pages and no linked professional profiles behind them.
Landing page copy, blog articles and guest posts were written and approved while the new WordPress build was still under way, so the library sat unpublished. Deployment ran through a team without WordPress depth, and the pages that did reach production drifted from the approved header, typography and form patterns.
Digital Authority Partners separated the American experience from the Mexican one and wrote every United States page for a patient comparing prices across a border.
Digital Authority Partners mapped the procedures Americans research before they travel, then specified a page for each one with its own keyword, URL and authority target.
Digital Authority Partners ran a supporting content and guest post programme designed to feed each landing page topical depth and links as it went live.
Digital Authority Partners rebuilt the credential layer Google scores on a medical site, then developed the approved templates in WordPress so the work could ship.
United States organic traffic climbed from five visits a month in January 2024 to 211 in April 2025. The rise held steady across fifteen months rather than arriving as a single spike, which is the signature of pages earning their rankings one at a time.
The homepage reached position two in United States search for the category head term, sitting above the medical travel aggregators that had owned the space. That one term carried 164 of the 211 monthly visits.
The homepage, the surgeon directory and two of the dental service pages built by Digital Authority Partners held top-ten United States positions at the same time. Ranking terms included orthodontist in mexico at position six and mexico wisdom teeth removal cost at position seven.
A homepage that had ranked for almost nothing in the United States held 36 American keywords at peak, spanning hospital, clinic and surgeon searches across the Tijuana market.
Landing page copy, blog articles and guest posts were produced as one library, each supporting article briefed to link into the service page it fed. The gum disease and dental implant recovery articles went on to carry 41 and 22 ranking keywords of their own.
