StepOne Neurodiversity runs five applied behavior analysis clinics across Pittsburgh, Scranton, and Richmond, and it reached that size on word of mouth alone. Digital Authority Partners audited every clinic market, recorded where the practice stood, and wrote the rebuild. Three months in, the rebuild is in production and every baseline, audit and page of copy the launch depends on is written and with the client.
StepOne Neurodiversity Services is a clinic-first applied behavior analysis practice headquartered in Wexford, Pennsylvania. It runs five clinics across the Pittsburgh, Scranton, and Richmond markets, with early intervention for ages 3 to 6 built around a simulated classroom, plus social skills groups for ages 2 to 12. The practice has roughly doubled its headcount and its client base every year since 2023.
StepOne Neurodiversity came to Digital Authority Partners with five clinics, a website built in 2022, and no marketing team. In three months DAP delivered four baseline reports inside the first week, audited how five AI assistants answer the questions a parent asks, wrote 15 pages of copy for the new site, and set up the measurement the launch will report against. The rebuild is in production. Every figure on this page counts DAP output rather than a StepOne website statistic.
Five clinics shared a website built in 2022, before the practice saw its first client. DAP's July technical baseline recorded clinic pages carrying about 190 words, against 480 to 1,710 on the pages winning the same searches.
Clinic URLs used tag-style paths rather than a real location structure, and no clinic page carried LocalBusiness or MedicalBusiness markup. Search engines had no way to confirm that StepOne is a healthcare provider with five physical sites.
A July baseline put 13 parent questions to five AI assistants. StepOne was named in four of the 14 scored answers, all four in Pennsylvania. Richmond, the newest market and the emptiest, drew none.
New families arrived through care coordinator reference lists, which take two to three months to land on. Parents searching on their own found little, and every clinic sat below its capacity target.
Kickoff ran on 29 June. By 3 July StepOne held four baseline reports covering every part of the engagement, so the starting position sits on record before any work moved.
The rebuild replaces a 2022 site that predates the practice StepOne has become. Architecture, design and copy are written and with the client. The build has not launched.
DAP recorded how five AI assistants answer the questions a parent asks, so the December re-audit has a fixed record to measure against.
The measurement layer was connected and documented before launch, so the new site reports against a known starting point rather than a blank slate.
DAP wrote the copy for the new site: 10 core pages covering the homepage, services, school readiness, insurance, careers, about, contact and resources, plus 5 location pages. StepOne carried no authoring work at any point.
DAP built the tracked keyword set from StepOne’s content plan rather than a stock list, covering parent intent, insurance and recruiting queries in each market. Positions are captured on a daily snapshot and read by clinic market.
A DAP analyst put the same 13 questions to ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Gemini and Microsoft Copilot, one question per fresh session, and captured 15 answers. Every answer is preserved as a screenshot for the December re-audit.
Technical SEO, website analytics, keyword and AI visibility. All four landed within four days of the 29 June kickoff, which put the starting position on record before a single page moved.
