StepOne Neurodiversity runs five applied behavior analysis clinics across Pittsburgh, Scranton, and Richmond, and it reached that size on word of mouth alone. Digital Authority Partners built the location coverage, the per-market keyword work, and the measurement underneath it. Three months in, 30 tracked keywords sit in the top 10, five sit in the top 3, and organic search has become the site’s strongest channel on both engagement and conversions.
StepOne Neurodiversity Services is a clinic-first applied behavior analysis practice headquartered in Wexford, Pennsylvania. It runs five clinics across the Pittsburgh, Scranton, and Richmond markets, with early intervention for ages 3 to 6 built around a simulated classroom, plus social skills groups for ages 2 to 12. The practice has roughly doubled its headcount and its client base every year since 2023.
StepOne Neurodiversity came to Digital Authority Partners with five clinics, a website built in 2022, and no marketing team. DAP built the local search coverage the practice was missing, recorded the first baseline of how AI assistants answer parent questions in its markets, and started the rebuild that gives every clinic a page worth ranking. Three months in, average daily sessions have risen from 75.9 to 84.4, and organic search has become the site’s best channel on both engagement and conversions.
Five clinics shared a website built in 2022, before the practice saw its first client. Each clinic page carried about 190 words. The pages winning the same searches ran between 480 and 1,710.
Clinic URLs used tag-style paths rather than a real location structure, and no clinic page carried LocalBusiness or MedicalBusiness markup. Search engines had no way to confirm that StepOne is a healthcare provider with five physical sites.
A July baseline put 13 parent questions to five AI assistants. StepOne was named in four of the 14 scored answers, all four in Pennsylvania. Richmond, the newest market and the emptiest, drew none.
New families arrived through care coordinator reference lists, which take two to three months to land on. Parents searching on their own found little, and every clinic sat below its capacity target.
Digital Authority Partners treated each clinic market as its own problem, then built the keyword coverage and the location pages the markets were missing.
A full WordPress rebuild is in build, replacing a 2022 site that predates the practice StepOne has become. The structure below is what every clinic gets.
Before new content shipped, DAP recorded how five AI assistants answer the questions a parent asks, so the December re-audit has a fixed record to measure against.
The five clinic listings and the site’s measurement layer were brought under one monthly reporting view.
Of the 78 keywords tracked against StepOne’s content plan, 30 now rank in the top 10 and five rank in the top 3. The strongest positions match the practice’s real markets, including first place for “aba therapy wexford pa” and second for both “aba in public schools” and “neurodiversity services”.
Organic search is the strongest channel on the site by a wide margin. Families arriving from organic search engage at 63.9% and stay 37.8 seconds on average, ahead of every other channel across the engagement to date.
Organic search produced 46 tracked conversions from 1,627 sessions. Those are parent actions taken on the site, form submissions and intake starts. No other channel has produced a comparable number over the same period.
Between 11 June and 27 August, families took 1,020 actions straight from the five clinic listings. That splits into 604 direction requests, 307 website clicks, and 109 calls placed from the listing itself, off 2,371 impressions across Maps and Search.
"I just want to thank you for putting that together. I'm really impressed. That looks really good."
