OK Pain Treatment Centers is a physician-owned pain management practice led by Dr. Blake Christensen, operating from 3 clinic locations across Oklahoma: Oklahoma City, Norman, and Weatherford. The practice specializes in interventional, non-surgical pain care and offers patients a physician-led alternative to large health systems. They partnered with Digital Authority Partners in July 2025.

Project Summary

OK Pain Treatment Centers had a strong clinical reputation across central Oklahoma, but online the practice was invisible while health systems like OU Health and Mercy Clinic dominated local search. Starting in July 2025, Digital Authority Partners deployed a local SEO strategy targeting neighborhoods across the Oklahoma City metro. Because each of the 3 clinics sits at the intersection of several neighborhoods, dedicated location pages helped Google understand OK Pain Treatment Centers as a local option across the whole metro. In the first year, organic phone calls more than tripled, form submissions rose 89 percent, and the practice now ranks number one for 65 pain management keywords.

The Challenge

Challenge icon Invisible in Local Search

Zero Patients From Online Search

OK Pain Treatment Centers had excellent outcomes and a loyal referral base, but when patients searched for pain management near them in Oklahoma City, the practice did not show up. Every new patient came through referrals or word of mouth.

Challenge icon An Unmapped Service Area

Google Could Not See the Neighborhoods Served

The website had pages for the communities around each clinic, but Google saw only three locations. It had no way of knowing the Oklahoma City clinic also serves patients in Quail Creek, Remington, Midtown, and The Greens, so it showed competitors in those searches instead.

Challenge icon Platform Limits

Squarespace Capped Technical SEO

The site was built on Squarespace, which limited technical SEO. Pages loaded slowly on mobile, schema markup was missing, and the architecture made it hard for Google to crawl and index the site properly.

Challenge icon Outgunned on Budget

Competing Against Major Health Systems

OU Health, Mercy Clinic, and Oklahoma Pain Physicians had dedicated marketing teams and broad brand recognition. As a three-location independent practice, OK Pain Treatment Centers needed a smarter approach to show up when patients searched for pain relief in their area.

How we Helped OK Pain Treatment Centers

Local SEO Built Around How Patients Search

We started with the market, not the website. We analyzed the practice’s top competitors, including OU Health, Mercy Clinic, and Oklahoma Pain Physicians, to find the keywords they ranked for and the neighborhoods with the biggest opportunity, then built a 12-month plan around real patient search intent.

  • Competitor and keyword research across the Oklahoma City metro
  • A 12-month local SEO roadmap tied to patient search intent
  • Neighborhood-level targeting around each of the 3 clinics
  • A content calendar mapped to the questions patients actually ask
  • Google Business Profile optimization for each location

A Location-Page Architecture That Scales

Each clinic sits at the intersection of several neighborhoods. We built dedicated location pages so the practice competes across the whole metro, plus a reusable template so new areas launch fast without losing quality.

  • Nine location pages: Oklahoma City, Quail Creek, Remington, The Greens, Midtown, Belle Isle, Classen-Ten-Penn, Bethany, and Norman
  • A scalable location-page template for fast rollout
  • A homepage and About Us redesign built around trust
  • Dr. Blake’s credentials placed front and center
  • Location videos to build patient confidence

Conversion and Analytics So Every Lead Is Traceable

Ranking does not matter if patients do not convert. We studied how visitors behaved, made the next step easy for someone in pain, and wired up tracking so the practice can see exactly which searches turn into appointments.

  • Reduced form fields and clearer calls to action
  • Click-to-call placed where patients look on mobile
  • Full GA4, Google Search Console, and tag manager tracking
  • First-touch attribution from landing page to appointment
  • Trust signals built around Dr. Blake’s credentials

A Second Service Line: The Car-Accident Vertical

In February 2026 we extended the location model into a dedicated car-accident and accident-clinic vertical, a high-intent service line competitors had long dominated.

  • Dedicated car-accident hub pages across the metro
  • Neighborhood car-accident subpages
  • Whiplash-treatment landing pages
  • Supporting local blog content and internal links
  • A category lead of 80.5% share of voice in the first month

What we Achieved

0 → 30
New patients per month from organic search

Before DAP, OK Pain Treatment Centers got zero patients from online search. Six months later, 30 patients per month find the practice through Google and book consultations. At an average of $2,000 per patient per year, that is an estimated $60,000+ in new annual revenue from SEO alone.
